Getting Started With Social Media Optimisation
Welcome! Here’s a few tips to get you going!
If you would like to jump right into discovering Social Media, click the large green button on the right to start. If you have trouble or unsure of how the learning centre works, please read the simple guide below which introduces you to each of the functions of Social Media Optimisation’s Learning Centre. How to Use the Site
Above in the header, you may access your account by clicking on your registered username. To return back to this page later on, click “HOME”. For any problems click “HELP” for our list of frequently asked questions and when you have finished the session, remember to click on “LOGOFF”. To start learning about SMO, click on the large green button “Start Lessons Now” The learning centre works best with Internet Explorer 8 – so please open the learning centre in that browser for maximum functionality or download it here.
Understanding the Dashboard
The Dashboard is divided into Core Lessons under “Getting Started” and each of the more detailed lessons under “Lessons” although you may learn each individual lesson in any order you like, we recommend that you go through from top to bottom – making sure you complete the starter lessons before jumping into the detailed lessons. To start the lessons click on the red “Start” button under “Task” in the fourth column.
How Do I know if I have completed a Lesson?
Lessons which have not been completed will be red. Lessons which have been completed will be green. After you have completely read through a lesson, click on the “Next Lesson Button” and the learning centre will automatically register that you have finished. Please do not take shortcuts and press the “Next Lesson” button without reading the lesson first!
